CUP COMMUNITY

College University Partnership (CUP) is America’s answer to providing broad access to higher education to all deserving students and institutions. The CUP Institutions are fully accredited universities and colleges that work together with the same goals of providing a united front on a global stage to promote cultural, academic exchanges, and educate and assist co-applications for students interested in member institutions.

CUP is formed by a group of leading internationally recognized universities in America, who share the same mission of identifying and nurturing future world leaders. This Partnership is non-profit. It serves the strategic interests of the leading universities and America’s goal of providing international education and scholarly exchange with broad access to and focus on excellence.

CUP universities and colleges support scholarly exchange efforts. International education is broadly defined by CUP as an ecosystem in which information sharing, resource references and channeling, promotion of best practices are integral to global advancement and world peace.

CUP demonstrates its support for transfer education by reframing the two main entry points to U.S. undergraduate degrees to be UFA (University Freshman Admission) and UTA (University Transfer Admission). In 2017 and again in 2019, broad communication reached SIOs, transfer and admission staff members of the CUP family to reaffirm the terminologies as continued commitment to future standardization of practices in marketing, recruitment, admissions, and research.
